Parhelion Underwriting

Julian Richardson – is CEO of Parhelion Underwriting, with 15 years’ experience in climate finance and 20 years’ experience in the re/insurance sector. Previously he was a producing broker at Marsh focusing on oil and gas business in the Middle East and Africa. He was later the underwriting risk manager at GE Insurance Solutions responsible for specialty re/insurance classes including energy and marine. Julian has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management where his dissertation in 2001 was on Carbon Trading Risk. Julian is also a Research Associate of the Geochemical and Environmental Research Group at Texas A&M University. He is an Insead Alumni and has spoken at numerous international conferences on risk management and climate finance.
