Pauline Maree Kennedy

Pauline has 15 years of experience in economic policy analysis and advice, with a focus on climate change mitigation and carbon markets. She is a Senior Carbon Finance Specialist at the World Bank where she is responsible for leading the technical work program of the Partnership for Market Readiness. Prior to joining the World Bank she worked for the Australian Climate Change Authority as a manager, responsible for undertaking reviews of Australia’s mitigation policies including its national targets, its offset scheme, and its renewable energy target. Pauline has also worked for the Australian Government and had a lead role in the design of its previous carbon pricing policy. She was also Australia’s lead negotiator in the UNFCCC on carbon markets. In 2012 Pauline was a member of the Executive Board or the Clean Development Mechanism. Earlier in her career Pauline worked on emissions projections for Australia and a broad range of mitigation policies. She started her career as an economist with the Australian Productivity Commission. She has a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor degree in Agriculture and Resource Economics from La Trobe University.
