Takashi Hongo served for Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) for many years and has rich experiences of environment and climate finance in addition to international public finance. He developed Social and Environment Guidelines and J-MRV Guidelines to measure GHG emission reductions at financed project for JBIC. At MGSSI, he covers climate finance, innovative technology development and diffusion program, including CCS and satellite use, natural capital, and policy reforms for low carbon growth. He presents and submits various climate finance proposals to UN and international organizations and governments. He is advisor for Globe International, Council member of International Emission Trading Association, and member of many government committees for environment and energy. He has written numerous articles, including APEC “Green Growth Green Finance”, ADB Institute “Reforms of Private Financing toward Green Growth Asia”, UNFCCC Long Term Finance “Definition and reporting system of Climate Finance”.
